An 18th Century Cottage Reimagined

We were commissioned by a Cheshire couple to redesign and renovate an 18th century Welsh cottage, transforming it into a modern holiday home for their family to enjoy.

The Facade Transformation

Our first phase focused on revitalising the front of the cottage, preserving its character while giving it a fresh, welcoming look. The transformation included a new exterior finish, a bespoke oak porch and a traditional Welsh stone wall, all carefully designed to complement the cottage’s heritage and its coastal setting.

Painting
The cottage was carefully prepared and finished in a soft, welcoming colour, instantly brightening the facade and enhancing its coastal charm.
Bespoke Oak Porch
A handcrafted porch was built to add character, create a welcoming entrance and complement the period of the property.
Tiered Garden
To the side of the cottage we created a tiered garden, making the most of the space with practical and attractive outdoor living areas for the family to enjoy.
Welsh Stone Wall
The original fence was replaced with a traditional Welsh stone wall, built completely by hand to match surrounding properties and maintain the cottage's authentic character
