Meet David Dickinson – Projects Director

David Dickinson is Cheshire Build’s Owner and Project Director, a Chartered Building Engineer and CHAS (Construction Health and Safety) certified contractor delivering high quality residential projects across Cheshire and the North West.
Back in the 1990’s David worked his way through university running his own small building company, going on to successfully gaining an honours degree in Building. Working on site across multiple trades and as a qualified Electrician, David has genuine experience of all the trades he now manages.
From there, his career took him into project management for national contractor then into building surveying for the National House Building Council where he inspected new build properties. He then spent 22 years as Project Director for a UK leading property developer, one of the UK’s largest privately-owned property companies, where he directed an extraordinary range of work — from a £130 million, 500-apartment riverside development and the restoration of a Grade II listed hydraulic tower, to hotels, retail parks, airports, industrial units, and major civil engineering on the Manchester Ship Canal. Few project managers have overseen a portfolio that broad.
Alongside his experience, David holds a BSc (Hons) in Building, is a Chartered Building Engineer, and is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. He’s also a CHAS certified contractor, meaning all health and safety standards are independently verified, not just self-declared. In plain terms, all of this means he’s recognised by the industry’s own professional bodies as someone who knows how to run a project properly — from the planning to the paperwork and knowing exactly what is happening on site.
